5 Strange structures in the universe | Unbelievable Cosmic Structures | Strange structures Part-1
The universe consists of billions of galaxies, stars,
planets, nebulae, etc., In which, some of the celestial objects resemble like structures
on Earth and related to life. Let’s look at some of the strange structures in
the universe.
Cydonia (Mars):
Cydonia is a place on Mars, located between the planet’s
northern hemisphere in heavy cratered region. This region attracted the
scientists as well as humankind because of its features. Cydonia consists of
highlands, hills and valleys (Evidences). The structures in Cydonia looks very
strange when compared to other regions on Mars, in which one of the hill resembles
as an Egypt pyramid and another one as human face. The human face is named as
“Face on Mars”. This features in Cydonia attracted the scientists as well as
common people.

The Face on Mars is located halfway between the Arandas
Crater and Bamberg Crater. Cydonia was first captured by Viking 1 and 2
orbiters. They captured several images of Cydonia in detail. On 25 July 1976,
Viking 1 captured one of the suspicious image ever taken by us on Mars named as
“Face on Mars”. Later, NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
and ESA’s Mars Express probe made observations on Cydonia in detail. So,
Cydonia facial became popular and lead to the speculations in religions,
civilizations, Extra-terrestrial life, Goddess, cultures etc., and Cydonia also
have structures like city, wall, spoon etc., so people shown interest to know
about this place on Mars and research still continuous.
Helix Nebula:

Helix nebula is also known as NGC 7293, is a planetary
nebula located at a distance of 655 light years away from the Earth in the
constellation of Aquarius. Helix Nebula is similar to Cat’s Eye Nebula and Ring
Nebula. It resembles as the Eye. So, it is referred as the “Eye of God” in pop
culture.
PSR B1059-58:

PSR B1059-58 is a Neutron star/Pulsar, located at a distance
of 17,000 light years away in the constellation of Circinus. It was discovered
in 1982 by Einstein X-Ray observatory. PSR B1059-58 sits in a nebula that
expands about 150 light years and it spins at a rate of 7 times per second,
releasing the huge amounts of energy. When it is observed in X-Ray vision, it
resembles like a hand, so it is referred as “Hand of God”.
2015 TB145:

2015 TB145 is one of the Asteroid in Apollo group, which is
near earth object and potentially hazardous asteroid. It was discovered in 10
October 2015 by Pan-STARRS. It resembles like a "skull", so it is also known as “Halloween
asteroid”. 2015 TB145 comes closer to the Earth (0.4 million kilometres) for
every 4 to 8 years. On November 2018, it made a flyby (last).
Smith’s cloud:

Smith’s cloud is an interstellar cloud, composed of huge
amounts of hydrogen and sulphur gases. As it contains huge amounts of gases, it
can produce more than 0.2 billion stars. It is located at a distance of 15,000
light years away form our solar system in Aquila constellation. It is
approaching our Milky Way galaxy at high Velocity and will collide & merge
with our galaxy in several million years at Perseus arm. From estimations made
by scientists, this collision will not affect our solar system.

DeleteI hate when Science gets linked with other things. But anyways you made me know that still these kind of beliefs exists. Hope these will get fade away.
ReplyDeleteYeah! science is interliked, but our way of thinking is changing everytime we discover new things.
